The Grable Foundation is focused on improving the lives of children in southwestern Pennsylvania. To that end, we support early childhood development programs that prepare children for the school years ahead. We also support schools and innovative programming so that kids will have a richer, more rewarding learning experience. Away from school, we champion the whole child with opportunities that foster growth and development, and encourage the creativity and wonder that should be a part of every boy and girl’s life.

The Prudential Foundation provides funding in the areas of Education, including Youth Development and out-of- school-time programs for young people, Economic Development, and Arts and Civic Infrastructure. Vulnerable populations are the highest priority, in particular, disadvantaged and displaced youth. Grants are available for nonprofit organizations in select cities. The Prudential Foundation makes four types of investments: Program Support, Capacity Building and Planning, General Operating Support, and Systems Change. The Foundation receives and reviews proposals throughout the year. The foundation focuses its grantmaking in specific geographic regions: • Newark, New Jersey
