The TD Charitable Foundation partners with area non-profit and public institutions to create meaningful change and improvement in our communities. One such area is education, which includes after-school programs that reinforce basic learning skills and education-focused youth development programs and initiatives. The TD Charitable Foundation funds only charitable, non-profit organizations as defined by section 501(c)(3) of the IRS tax code, public schools and other qualified state or local governmental entities.

The foundation was established in 1995 after the deaths of Mr. and Mrs. C. Herbert and Anna E. Lutz. Herbert and Anna enjoyed living in Chester where they attended their church and participated as active members of various community organizations. Their last years were spent close to family and friends. Their purpose in endowing a foundation was to help fund community needs in the areas of education, health, welfare, and community programs. Each year, our mission is to reach as many lives and programs as possible. We desire that Herbert and Anna’s legacy will continue to enrich our community as we fulfill our commitment to care and contribute to our neighbor’s needs.
