Some 152 renovation jobs worth $1,294,900 were carried out. The previous years, 124 renovation projects worth $1,548,000 were undertaken. In the commercial sector, one new building worth $55,000 was erected while 57 renovation jobs valued at $1,920,350. The previous year, nine new commercial projects, worth $1,026,000, and 33 renovation jobs, worth $1,567,500, were completed. In the industrial category, the Bentley centre was the only new building started, however, there were six renovation projects, worth $264,100, initiated. In 2009, the town issued permits for four additions to industrial buildings; this work was worth $5,061,000.
