We are just a few days away from heading to Orlando for GROOVE! Nationals , and I couldn’t be more excited to see our team shine on the national stage! This is a major moment in our season, and I am proud of all the hard work, heart, and hustle each dancer has poured in. I’m attaching the initial schedule based on the tentative performance lineup provided by the event organizers. This schedule will give you a general sense of when each dance is expected to perform. Please note that I am still awaiting a couple of updates from Groove that will add times that consist of: ● Specific Call times for KCO ● KCO Team rehearsal blocks ● Groove Studio Photo Shoot ● Any potential Team Bonding Updates 🔒 MANDATORY ATTENDANCE All K Company dancers are required to be present for: ● Every group performance ● All solos, duos, and trios (even if not performing, dancers are expected to support their teammates) ● Groove Special Events for 12 and Under / 13 and Over ● All Convention Classes ● Every award session tied to our studio’s routines ● SO BASICALLY…EVERYTHING!! This is not only about representing KAD with excellence—it’s about showing up for each other, building team spirit, and celebrating our collective growth. Warm Up Jackets: They will need to be picked up Monday or Tuesday evening from the studio. I will not bring them unless you had previously told me your dancer was leaving KC prior to the 14th! Orlando, FL National Final – July 17-21, 2025 Thank you for joining us at our Groove National Final! We're are so excited to spend the week with both you and your studio families! We are committed to providing a fun, inspiring competition experience and look forward to an incredible National Final.
Venue Specific Information:
Food And Beverages: Outside food and beverages are not permitted. Concessions will be available for purchase. Restaurants are available within the hotel.
Parking: For guest staying on property under the Groove room block, there is a self park garage for $20/night. Guests will have in and out privileges and charges will go toward your room. For guests that are staying off property, the self park garage is $38 and there is not in and out privileges.
Event Details:
Navigating Nationals : Below are a few reminders about our venue and navigating the event. - Competition will take place in Plaza International Ballroom - Conventions, Parents Groove 2, and dancer parties will be held in the Ballroom I/J
Schedule: Your schedule, with approximate performance times, has been sent to your studio. A full program will be available for purchase at our merchandise booth. Breaks may vary to help accommodate quick changes, props, etc. We try our best to have all entries perform in their scheduled performance time and order. Arrival : Arrive at least 1.5 hours before your performance time as we may run slightly ahead of schedule. Dancers should be prepared to perform up to one hour ahead of schedule. Routines performed after their designated session will be eligible for adjudication only. Dressing Rooms: You will have assigned dressing rooms throughout the event. We encourage you to maintain a respectful and friendly environment for all attendees. Photos/Videos are prohibited in dressing rooms, including social media use. OneBeat is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items. Remove belongings nightly. Props : Prior to bringing large props into the venue, consult with our Backstage Team or Director for guidance. Props should only be brought into the upstairs event space at the start of the scheduled session of the routine and should be promptly removed afterward. OneBeat Dance Brands is not liable for unattended props.
OneBeat Pintrading: This will be our ninth year for OneBeat Pin Trading! There are over 160 pins and buttons available for trading. Pin Trading is a fun way to bond with your teammates and make friends from other studios. If you have attended in the past, be sure to bring your lanyards and pins! Use the “Pinventory” as a guide to try and collect every pin from all eight generations! Tour Team members will also be wearing extremely rare pins that are not available for purchase, so be on the lookout! Convention Classes: We will be hosting a three-level convention during our national finals event. Please advise your students to wear appropriate dance attire for their classes. All students must have their convention bib to enter the ballroom. All bib numbers will be given at check-in. The detailed schedule of these convention classes can be found on the general schedule.
Studio Spirit/Theme Day: Groove will be hosting a “Neon” themed studio spirit day. Studios wishing to participate can dress in their best neon attire on Sunday, July 20th.
Junior Bash : All dancers ages 12 and under will automatically be registered for the Junior Bash. The event will feature music, food, activities, and a fun time with the Groove Tour Team! *All studio directors and teachers will be able to attend the Junior Bash. All Access or Backstage passes will count as a ticket to the event for studio directors and teachers. This event will be chaperoned by selected members of our Tour Team. Dancers must be picked up at the end of the Bash by a parent, chaperone, or studio faculty. The Junior Bash dancers will have a blue wristband on. GrooveFest Gala: All registered dancers 13 and over will automatically be registered for our GrooveFest Gala, which is a semi-formal event also featuring music, food, and a good time. *All studio directors and teachers will be able to attend. All Access or Backstage passes will count as a ticket to the event for studio directors and teachers. This event will be chaperoned by selected members of our Tour Team. The GrooveFest Gala dancers will have a white wristband on.
Parents Groove 2: We are very excited to be hosting Parent Groove 2, a complimentary class with complimentary champagne for attending parents, grandparents, and guardians (studio staff can certainly join us, as well!). This 60-minute class will be hosted by our hip hop faculty member and will take place on Thursday July 17th at 6PM in Ballroom I/J. No advanced registration is required; participants may simply show up to take class. Be sure to spread the word; it’s going to be a fun time! The JAM! : The JAM! will be taking place on Monday July 21st. The JAM! will be the last event at Nationals and is an absolute blast! Even if a dancer is not chosen for The JAM! we do recommend that all stay for this event and enjoy the show! The JAM! participants will be announced at the end of each group award ceremony throughout the week. This event will run into the evening hours on July 21 st . Parent Dance Battle : At our National Finals event, we will be hosting our Parent Dance Battle! Each parent group that wishes to participate must choreograph a group dance and register it through their online account (under the event “Parent Dance Battle”). Each parent group wi ll select one charity of their choice. The winners of the parent dance battle will have a percentage of entry fees donated to the charity of their choice. Our Parent Dance Battle will be taking place on Sunday July 20 th . College Scholarship: OneBeat awards a $1,000 College Scholarship at each of our 2025 National Finals. Dancers submitted High School transcripts, answered two essay questions, and sent a letter of recommendation. Recording and Photography: Photo and video are strictly prohibited for the safety of the dancers. Professional photos and videos will be provided by our team for free shorty after the event.
Live Stream: Share the event live! Visit groovecompetition.com and select "Livestream." There is no password needed to watch the event.
Safety: - We recommend dancers wear some sort of footwear when they are not performing. This includes in the lobby, dressing rooms, and throughout the venue. • Costume malfunctions should be addressed offstage. • First aid kits are available backstage. Please ask a Tour Team member for assistance. • We ask that each audience member show respect and consideration to all attendees. • We encourage attendees to protect their personal belongings. This includes but is not limited to; electronics, purses, costumes, wallets etc. The nature of an event with large groups of people lends itself to items becoming lost or misplaced. As per our rules and regulations, OneBeat Dance is not liable for any lost, stole, or misplaced items. If you lost an item, please check in with our Merchandise Booth as that is where items are usually left.
