HOW CAN GOD? Some folks do riot believe in prayer. "How can God hear," they say, "From far away and in Heaven above, While we on earth do stay?" "How can we hear Him speak to us, Or feel His presence nigh? His home is far away in heaven; There's no use to try!" "A n d how can He divided be, And all men at one time Can feel His presence, hear Him speak To them in every clime?" "Yo u say that He'll come again, In the twinkling of an eye. His own will hear His trumpet sound, And meet Him in the sky." "But how could He go round the world, And pass from zone to zone In such a minute space of time To catch up all His own?" If a man can talk around the world In just a second's space, Why is it thought incredible That God can hear our praise? And if the waves of radio Distribute far and near, -Then why can He not radiate His "Spirit on us here? And why should it be thought a myth That He will come again, And in the twinkling of an eye Span all the realms of men? If man with mind so limited can Such great marvels find, Then surely God can do much more With His great boundless mind. But since the radio has come With all its wonders great, Why should they doubt God's mysteries And for their proving wait?

Don't give up! Even the turtle wouldn't go any place unless if stack its neck out. * * * For too long we have counted numbers while we have neglected to make numbers count. * * * SOMETIME, SOMEWHERE Unanswered yet? the prayer your lips have pleaded In agony of heart these many years? Does faith begin to fail? Is hope de parting? And think you all in vain those fall ing tears? Say not the Father hath not heard your prayer; You shall have your desire, sometime, somewhere. Unanswered yet? though when you first presented This one petition at the Father's throne, It seemed you could not wait the time of asking. So urgent was your heart to make it known. Though years have passed since then, do not despair The Lord will answer you sometime, somewhere. Unanswered yet? nay, do not say un granted, Perhaps your part is not wholly done; The work began when you first prayer was uttered, And God will finish what He has begun. If you keep the incense burning there, His glory you shall see, sometime, somewhere. Unanswered yet? Faith cannot be un answered; Her feet are firmly planted on the rock; Amid the wildest storms she stand undaunted. Nor quails before the loudest thunder shock, She knows Omnipotence hath heard her prayer, And cries, " It shall be done, some time, somewhere." — Mrs. Ophelia G. Adams
