CONGRATULATIONS!
On Saturday September 7th the Sanibel Shotokan Karate Club, led by Sensei Gary Thomas, competed in the Annual Southwest Florida Martial Arts Open in Punta Gorda. They competed in several categories including Forms, Paired Forms and Sparring. Members brought home several trophies, including six 1st place wins! Competing were Lyman Welch, David Kopp, Kelly Kopp, Liam Nucholls (age 16), Nolan Kopp (age 9), Bronco McNeilus (age 8), Norah Kopp (age 7) and Cecilio Gonzalez (age 6), all of Sanibel Island.

Are you interested in learning Martial Arts? Martial Arts helps practice balance, build structure, and boost confidence. Register today for group lessons with Sensei Gary Thomas, available to all ages. Lessons are held for 12 and under on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2:30 p.m. as well as Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. 13+ Martial Arts are held on Tuesday and Thursdays at 4:00 p.m. as well as Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. Lessons are paid monthly at a rate of $100 member and $125 non-member. Family Rate! Families with more than 3 people participating in martial arts will be charged $250 for the whole family. 14
