Some spectators got a close-up look at a flying caber during the event held on the last day of the fair. Many area residents took in the 202 nd edition of the exhibition, one of the old- est in the country. The Vankleek Hill Fair began Thursday and wraps up Sunday. Riceville’s Fair takes place August 23, 24 and 25.

The Alzheimer Society of Cornwall and District will be holding its first major fund- raising event in Hawkesbury Saturday, September 21, World Alzheimer Day.
