Implement infection prevention office protocols that mitigate the risk of disease transmission when an aerosol-generating procedure is performed. 3. Select the personal protective equipment that offers the highest level of protection while participating in an aerosol-generating procedure. 4. Developed and implement surface disinfection protocols based on the behavior of environmental aerosol behavior and movement.

1. Prepare for patient procedures effectively and comprehensively to improve patient and worker safety while decreasing the labor intensity of daily tasks. 2. Render patient treatment using the highest standards of aseptic technique that will decrease the risk for cross contamination. 3. Clean, disinfect, and reprocess equipment and surfaces in a manner that is compliant with CDC recommendations and OSHA standards of patient care. 4. Recognize the importance of following a product’s instruction for use (IFU) provided by manufacturers.
