Implement infection prevention office protocols that mitigate the risk of disease transmission when an aerosol-generating procedure is performed. 3. Select the personal protective equipment that offers the highest level of protection while participating in an aerosol-generating procedure. 4. Developed and implement surface disinfection protocols based on the behavior of environmental aerosol behavior and movement.

Clean, disinfect, and reprocess equipment and surfaces in a manner that is compliant with CDC recommendations and OSHA standards of patient care. 4. Recognize the importance of following a product’s instruction for use (IFU) provided by manufacturers.
