PAYROLL PETS

Modern life is incredibly busy. Combining work and home life can be a balancing act, and recently, we’ve all been exposed to considerable uncertainty. Pets can really help our mental well-being and help us find some solace and stability in difficult times. We asked you, the payroll professionals, to show us your pets.

Here are just a few of your wonderful furry and feathered friends...

Name: Cookie Sent by: Laura Wood BA(Hons) ChFCIPPdip, business owner and co-director, LaSu Payroll Consultancy and Services “This was Cookie, the most calming and loyal ‘payroll assistant’ I could ever have. She rarely left my side when I worked from home, and I was blessed to spend nearly 15 years with her. Pets are definitely great for mental well-being.”

Name: Freddie Sent by: Susan Ball, tax partner, RSM UK “Here is Freddie (full name Andrew Flintoff, I didn’t name him but Richard Smith did). He gets very upset when I don’t pay him enough attention on coffee / tea breaks or finish work on time! He thinks he’s a human. Plus, he’s very cheeky and makes me smile – wonderful after a busy day.”

Name: Bonnie Sent by: Ellis Rees ChFCIPPdip, strategic account director, ADP “This is an older picture as we have since lost Bonnie. But she would keep me company and sit by my side all day when I worked from home alone. She was great company for a lunchtime walk.”

Name: Lola and Chester Sent by: Craig Armstrong, district manager ESI, ADP “Meet Lola the Lhassa and Chester the Sprocker, who can’t stay still long enough for a decent photo!”

If you’ve submitted your payroll pet to us and they’re not included, you’ll see them in a future issue of Professional .
