Membership & Corporate Update
The membership and corporate team have been very active in the last month visiting members regionally around Tasmania. While staffing and rising costs continue to be a concern for venues it is positive to see lots of people out frequenting venues. In the coming weeks we have visits to the south east coast, west coast and north-west coast to continue to ensure our regional members are supported. I would like to acknowledge our new members to the THA, it is great to have you onboard and part of the association. We look forward to working with you and connecting industry to ensure venues are supported where needed. A special mention to Novotel Devonport, in particular Jeremy and Ana, which opened its doors in early October. This venue will be a great addition to the accommodation sector on the North West Coast and should help bring new guests into local hospitality venues.
As a membership team we have made it a key focus to target corporate partnerships that support members in what we know is a challenging time for operators with staff shortages and rising utility costs. Our new partnership with Bendigo Bank and TYRO has seen some of our members benefit significantly, particularly some of our new businesses who are dealing with the significant upstart costs. To find out more or to access the deal contact the membership team and they can help support you through the process. We are also approaching membership renewal time for 2023, we are just working through this process and hope to have renewal notices out to members in early November, keep an eye out for them in your emails. We look forward to you renewing your support of the hospitality association and continuing to help support and grow industry in 2023.
