Avery Dennison Joins U.S. Plastics Pact

Engineered Better Anilox Sleeves and Rollers Crafted Specifically For Your Budget, Your Press, Your Job.

Avery Dennison Label and Packaging Materials has joined the U.S. Plastics Pact, an organization that provides solutions that aim to drive change and create a path toward a circular economy for plastics in the United States by 2025. As part of the U.S. Plastics Pact, members like Avery Dennison recognize that significant, system- wide change is imperative to realize a circular econ- omy for plastics. As such, the U.S. Pact is convening more than 110 businesses, retailers, not-for-profit organizations, government agencies, and research institutions across the plastics value chain to bring one voice to U.S. packaging through national initia- tives and innovative solutions for rethinking prod- ucts, packaging, and business models. Avery Dennison is committed to reaching its sus- tainability goals by the year 2030 to help pave the way to a more sustainable future. The goals were developed based on the company’s existing com- mitment to waste diversion, enabling plastics cir- cularity and providing products that contain recy- cled content. In signing the U.S. Plastics Pact, Avery Dennison will gain more insights into the market, driving innovations designed to reduce the envi- ronmental impact of its products and operations. The U.S. Plastics Pact emphasizes measurable change and as such Avery Dennison is committed to transparent, annual reporting which will be used to document annual progress. The U.S. Plastics Pact’s “Roadmap to 2025” identifies key milestones and national solutions to achieving the U.S. targets and realizing a circular economy in which plastic never becomes waste Void Technologies Gains APR Recognition Materials science company VOID Technologies has achieved Critical Guidance Recognition from the Association of Plastics Recyclers (APR) for its proprietary VO+ PE Masterbatch Technology, con- firming its compatibility with PE film recycling in the United States. In meeting APR’s Critical Guidance for PE Film and Flexible Packaging, the technology has now been accredited as fully compatible with film rec- lamation and recycling systems sourcing post-con- sumer PE film from store drop-off collection points or, in some cases, curbside collection, paving the way for its adoption by film and packaging manu- facturers across the United States.
