Fire Evacuation
Fire Drills must take place once a term and will be at different times of the day and require you to know your alternate escape route.
PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY
If you discover a fire: 1. Break the nearest Red fire Glass and Activate the Alarm
2. Inform a Member of Staff is one is available
3. Make you way by the nearest exit to the collection point. Do not stop to gather personal belongings. Try to remain calm.
If you hear the Fire Alarm Sounder (a continuous, piercing, electronic noise):
1. Leave the building immediately by the nearest route. Do not stop to gather personal belongings. Try to remain calm. 2. Assemble at the Collection Point
The Exit Routes are:
On the Ground Floor – To the Link
On the First Floor – Down the Central Staircase in the Link or in the Opposite direction along the Corridor, down the external staircase into Blew House garden.
On the Second and Third Floors – Down the central staircase in the link or in the opposite direction along the corridor, through the Internal Fire Escape into Blew House garden
THE COLLECTION POINT IS OUTSIDE THE LORD GEORGE BUILDING
Please make sure that you are familiar with the appropriate exit route by taking a few minutes to find the fire exit on your floor.
