Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) Program – provides $42.45 billion to expand high-speed internet access in unserved and underserved communities by funding planning, infrastructure deployment, and technology adoption programs. The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) awards the funds for this program to state broadband offices that then award grants to contractors.
