3.4 ERA process

3.4.1 Collection of ERA data Currently, ERA collects data for evaluation every three years during the ERA submission and evaluation year; the most recent being 2018. In the response to the House of Representatives report on Australian Government Funding Arrangements for non-NHMRC research, some submissions recommended that ERA collect publication data annually, suggesting that this would streamline or reduce the reporting burden associated with a major triennial data collection. 13 The ARC is interested in the views of stakeholders regarding a move to annual collection of data from universities for ERA.
