Remember when you couldn’t get a locally brewed sour in Morgantown? That unfortunate deprivation ended when Cody Cheesebrough and Chris DeFazio bought Morgantown Brewing Company in 2018 and started serving them up in wild, exhilarating variety. On tap in December was Listen to Missy Elliot, a sour conditioned on raspberry and lime puree, and Constant Comments, a sour conditioned on cranberries, Cara Cara oranges, vanilla, and cinnamon. But the naming and flavor fun spans the beer spectrum, from the brewpub’s classic Alpha Blonde ale, always on tap, to some variety of stout. Growlers and cans to go have been a pandemic-era staple, as has the brewpub’s popular outdoor deck seating for drinks and meals.
