- YON FAMILY FARMS - WELCOME At Yon Family Farms, we have been quietly cultivating our herd for over 36 years. Following the warm reception of our 2-day event which began in 2022, we are continuing this tradition, and offering not just herd bulls, but donors, pairs, bred heifers, a slate of open heifers that are incredible, and frozen embryos. We are also offering a neat group of uniform, commercial bred heifers. The females will sell on Friday, complementing our Fall Bull Sale, held on Saturday, where you can see first-hand, the bulls that are produced by our cow herd. Many of the mothers and sisters to these bulls will sell. • Yon Family Farms is a grass and forage farm, and the cattle are our harvesters. • This farm remains the sole source of our family’s livelihood, with six of us having boots on the ground every day and provides for eleven other fully committed team members. • All lots have had a genomic test which improves the accuracy of genomic predictions and confirms parentage. • Your satisfaction in the cattle is guaranteed – while this is not a life insurance policy, we will do our best to keep you as a repeat customer. Our family has been diligently sorting through this herd, year after year. In addition to EPD criteria, great selection pressure has been placed on soundness, eye appeal, feet, udders, fertility, and disposition. We literally sort them OUT of the breeding herd if issues arise. Notice the maternal side of the pedigrees in the entire offering. Every pedigree reads with one prefix, “ Yon , ” proof that generations of females, stacking proven cow families, have established the roots to sustain this program. WE KNOW THESE COWS – the Maternal Roots run deep… Grounded in fertility, data, form, and function .
