Our card of the week is The Fool . Zero (0 ) is the number - ready for the beginning of the journey. Our fool and his little dog are about to step off a cliff! They don’t seem too concerned as if they believe they are heading for a pink puffy cloud to land on. What gives a person that kind of faith and openness? Well, Forrest Gump comes to mind when I see this card. No one was more open and had more faith than Forrest. The fool is asking us to go into the week with an open mind.
Leave your cynicism at the door.
Let’s try to imagine the busy week and holiday season ahead through the eyes of Forrest. Yes yes I know, our week looks like a country and western song “Clothes need washin, and the dryer won’t start. Kids are cryin and yer breakin my heart……” (Hoyt Axton) My father used to lovingly sing this song to my mother - it’s called “Bony Fingers”. listen here) No matter how bad things were it always made her laugh and made us kids feel happy and safe. The Fool tells us to lighten up, perspective is everything.
