seis, purged and clean, a life wherein the H oly S p irit can dwell, if we are to be used by Him . A s we become conscious of H is presence, we w ill eliminate most of our problems as well sis our fears. A s we live and abide in H is presence, we w ill be able to do “all th ings through Christ, who strengtheneth us.” Actually, we are S E R M O N S IN SH O E S , the only Bible the careless world w ill read. W e are liv in g E p is tles, read and known to all men. Let us therefore realize we do more by what we are than by what we say. 3. A w orking knowledge of the W ord of God is also vital in helping us to meet God’s sp iritual qualifica tions as H is ambassador. Through the Word, and by H is S p irit we can meet the need of hungry hearts all about us. Finally, as C h rist becomes the LO R D of our life, it w ill become natural to love as C h rist loved. To go forth, . . . “w ith weeping, bear in g precious seed.” C h rist loved men because they were lost. H a s th is truth gripped you r life ? Read I I Peter 3:9. A n y community in Am erica today could be completely revolutionized if every C h ristian would measure up to such h igh standards and go forth. Just think what could be done if you — yes, I mean you — would say, “Here am I, Lord, use me.” Q. What is the basic reason for our moral dilemma today? A. Instead of a solid Bible basis on which to make decisions, we are find in g today the idea that circumstances can alter these standards. The Bible states “Thou shalt” and “Thou shalt not” but today we have the “situa tion ethic” which declares that some times it’s all rig h t to do these fo r bidden th in gs; it all depends upon the circumstances! Q. Often it seems that the church is assuming some of the home’s respon sibilities in the training of young people. In fact, it seems as though it is competing with the home. Why is this? A. Because the Sunday school cannot do the entire job of sp iritual educa tion as it should be done, other agen cies (i.e. Vacation B i b l e School, You th Groups, etc.) h a v e b e e n brought into being. Then, too, many fam ilies h a v e relinquished their sp iritual tra in in g to the church. They feel the church can do a better job. T h is gives emphasis to the fact that materialistic ga in and worldly interests have crowded C h rist out of many homes.
