Joanna Ellis, CAPS Chief Executive Officer and Owner EPMS

Ms. Staciokas is responsible for the national strategy and oversight of the Corporate Marketing, Property Marketing, Training and Revenue Management departments for the Pinnacle portfolio. Jennifer began her career in the multifamily industry over 19 years ago. Since that time, Ms. Staciokas has served in numerous capacities at two of the nation’s largest property management firms focusing on new construction marketing, digital marketing strategies, employee development and corporate communications. Ms. Staciokas holds a B.A. in French fromWest Chester University and an M.A. in International Commerce & Policy from George Mason University. Jennifer is a regular guest speaker, facilitator, and moderator at many of the industry’s most renowned conferences as well as an active participant in NAA, NMHC, the Zillow Rental Advisory Board and the Multifamily Social Media Summit Advisory Board. Ashley Glover serves as the executive vice president and chief operating officer for RealPage, where she is responsible for managing international operations and all customer acquisition, assimilation and retention organizations. Ms. Glover has served in multiple roles at RealPage, most recently as Chief Revenue Officer and Chief Sales and Marketing Officer. For eight years prior to 2012, she led some of the largest divisions in the company, broadening her sales, service, operations and product management experience. Ashley was formerly with McKinsey and Company’s Dallas office working with technology, consumer, and retail clients. She represents RealPage on the National Multifamily Housing Council and the National Apartment Association. She received her B.S. in Computer Science, magna cum laude, from Southern Methodist University and an M.B.A. from Harvard University. Ms. Ellis is the Chief Executive Officer and Owner of EPMS (Ellis, Partners in Management Solutions and Ellis, Partners in Mystery Shopping), Edge2Learn and Renter’s Voice. Ms. Ellis has been working exclusively in the multifamily housing market for over 25 years, providing insight on “your” customers experience and what it means to “your” business. She is passionate about helping apartment owners, management companies and the on-site teams create positive customer experiences and customer loyalty by understanding and acting on customer feedback. Ms. Ellis and her team do this by providing nationwide training, apartment mystery shopping, resident surveys, ratings and reviews insight to the multi-family industry. Having earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business fromTexas A&M in 1983, she holds both the Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) and Certified Apartment Property Supervisor (CAPS) designations from the National Apartment Association. She is also a licensed Texas Real Estate Agent. In honor of Ellis Partners’ reputation for integrity, the Dallas Chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals awarded Ms. Ellis, on behalf of the company, the Greater Dallas Business Ethics Award. Her company was honored for their commitment to ethical business practices in everyday operations, management philosophies, and responses to crises or challenges. Ms. Ellis is grateful for landing a career in the multi-family industry early on. This industry has taught her “almost” everything about business, discipline, communication and perception. She thoroughly enjoys being challenged, stepping outside of her comfort zone and embracing each and every learning opportunity! Marie Hagman Director of Product, Artificial Intelligence Zillow Group

Christine Cooper, Ph.D. Senior Economist CoStar Group

Marie is the Director of Product for the Artificial Intelligence division at Zillow Group, using deep learning, machine learning, NLP and computer vision to simplify the home buying process. She leads the teams that are constantly improving the Zestimate (Zillow’s AI-powered home value estimate), personalizing the home shopping experience for consumers and connecting them to real estate professionals, creating 3D home tours from photos taken with a phone, and much more. Marie has worked on search technologies and knowledge graphs for over a decade at Microsoft, Facebook and the Allen Institute for Artificial Intelligence and holds a degree in computer science from the University of Texas at Austin.

Christine Cooper, Ph.D. is Senior Economist at CoStar Group, providing insights and analysis of national and regional macroeconomic conditions, and leading a team of more than a dozen commercial real estate market analysts covering metros in the thirteen states of the West Coast and Mountain regions. Previously, she led the Institute for Applied Economics at the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation, producing numerous studies and presentations for government agencies, industry leaders and legislative bodies. A frequent speaker and often quoted in the media, she was a lecturer at California State University, Long Beach and at the Pepperdine Graziadio School of Business and Management. Earlier in her career, Dr. Cooper was co-founder of a start-up in Hong Kong focused on automating equity transactions and manufacturing computer accessories, ultimately expanding production into China and distributing products globally. She was co-founder of the first authorized Apple Computer retailer in China. Dr. Cooper holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Southern California with research emphasis in economic development and institutional economics.

Kristine Smale Senior Manager John Burns Real Estate Consulting

Kristine is an experienced Residential and Commercial Real Estate professional. She is a Senior Manager with John Burns Real Estate Consulting and leads consulting projects in the Southeast and Florida. Prior to joining John Burns in 2015, Kristine worked for two large homebuilders providing feasibility guidance for land acquisitions and community development. Her experience in commercial real estate includes asset management, due diligence and acquisitions with a large Real Estate Investment Trust, a 1031 exchange company and a publicly traded apartment REIT. Kristine has a BBA from the University of Iowa with majors in Finance and Marketing and a minor in English. She also earned a certificate in Urban Real Estate from the University of Illinois-Chicago. Kristine is currently the Co-Chair of the ULI Community Housing and Development Product Council in Florida, as well as a member of the Southwest Florida Executive Committee and former chair of the Women’s Leadership Initiative. She is also a member of the RNDC-Gold National Product Council. Kristine serves on the Local Planning Agency for Lee County, Florida, a resident advisory board that works with the Board of County Commissioners.
