T he Arlington-Grand Prairie hroughout its existence the program has received awards and recognition in the Southwestern Province and Grand Chapter. Some of the various awards received include: the 2015 Grand Chapter Jay Crosby Bronze Award (TX) Alumni Chapter (AGP) Guide Right Program has a his- tory of excellence and winning. (medium chapter), 2017 Grand Chapter Social Action for Social Good Award, and Southwestern Province Jay Crosby Diamond Award in 2012, 2013, 2015, 2017, 2018-2020. The AGP Guide Right Program also has a history of great leadership, first with Brother Orlando U. Robinson (Arlington-Grand Prairie (TX) AL 2009) (Grand Chapter Bert V. Watkins Award (medium chapter) in 2013, and then Brother Draon D. Glenn (Iota Alpha 1991) (Grand Chapter Bert V. Watkins Award (medium chapter) in 2015 & 2017. Brother Glenn currently serves as the Southwestern Province Guide Right

Director. The AGP Guide Right Pro- gram is currently under the leadership of Brother Marcus T. Anderson (Arlington- Grand Prairie (TX) AL 2016) (South- western Province Bert V. Watkins Award (medium chapter) in 2019 & 2020). The AGP Guide Right program started with Brother Wallace “Blinky” Williams (Chapter Invisible) in 1993. Through the facilitation of the Guide Right Program, other successful pro- grams have been started and run in conjunction, which include: the Adopt- A-School Program, Kappa League Program, and the AGP Beautillion. The Beautillion, which is the key program, provides a structured atmosphere for young men in their senior year of high school to develop socially, culturally and intellectually through mentored workshops, while providing scholar- ship opportunities. According to Guide Right Director Brother Anderson, “We are making sure that they are prepared for the next level of life by providing scholarship money, technology devices,

etc. This is our cornerstone, our signa- ture event.” This year would have been the 27 th year for the Beautillion, unfortu- nately due to the pandemic the chapter elected to host a virtual College Signing Day. Brother Anderson states, “The members of the Arlington-Grand Prairie Alumni Chapter volunteer our time and resources to “invest in the future” and that buy-in starts with the Polemarch all the way to each individual member.” This upcoming year, AGP Kappa League has 48 young men, 26 of them are in high school. Brother Anderson said, “When I came into the program four years ago, we had a great group of young men, but it was hard to recruit. I reached out to one of my past mentors, Brother Dr. Carl Cunningham, Jr. (Hat- tiesburg (MS) AL 1997) with the Mobile Kappa League. His insight was to grow a program from the young men that you already have. You have one great young man. You ask him to bring his friends, because if they buy into the program ev-
