in August of 2019 where Kappa Leagu- ers volunteered to assist with the setup and distribution of school supplies to over 2,500 DCPS students. In the month of September at the Sickle Cell 5K Walkathon, Kappa Leaguers walked in support of aware- ness for sickle cell patients and their families which includes a fellow chapter Kappa League member. October focused on the Social for the chapter prompting a KL Bonding Activity where Kappa Leaguers fellowshipped at Flight Fit 'n Fun indoor trampoline park. The holiday season time is concentrated on service for the chapter. In November, the KL volunteered to assist recipients of Thanksgiving meal baskets for their families to their vehicles at the Thanks- giving Service & Food Giveaway and walked to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research at the Making Strides Walk. For the past several years, the Jacksonville Alumni Chapter’s Kappa League has partnered with the Jackson- ville Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma

ship development, community service, life skills training, postsecondary and career exploration, and exposure to professional men that provide them with individualized support within a group mentoring setting. The chapter strives to create an environment that provides equal opportunities to all young men that participate in the program while giv- ing them the individual support needed in regards to academics, behavior, and/or postsecondary readiness to ensure their overall success. In celebration of the Golden An- niversary of Kappa League, the chapter presents a “Year in Review” snippet of activities that highlight the Seven Phases of Kappa League (KL) including Self Identity/Purpose, Training, Compe- tition, Social, Health Education, Eco- nomic Empowerment & Education, and College & Career infused in its content and purpose.

December 2 Remember is anoth- er annual community-service initiative where each NPHC organization spon- sors a family along with their Christmas wish list. The organizations and their respective families come together during this celebration luncheon to fellowship, uplift, and encourage during the holiday season. Kappa Leaguers assist by serving a catered meal to the family and pre- senting gifts from their wish list. The month of December is also a time for celebration and family. On De- cember 18, 2019, the Jacksonville (FL) Alumni Kappa League hosted the annual Kappa League Alumni Reunion & Holi- day Celebration where current members of the program sat down for fellow- ship and discussion with former Kappa League members who have moved on to college, a career, or the military. The goal is to get current Kappa Leaguers to have an opportunity to engage with former
