he studies with the likes of Kendrick Scott and the award winning, Damien Sneed. In addition to performing, Christian has an online music education platform, ChristianXL.com, and a marketing company Xavier3M. Through his music education platform, he trains musicians on how to grow technically and position their brand for more opportunities. Cur- rently, he is offering online drum lessons with plans for expansion into music theory, film scoring, composition, and piano. Xavier3M focuses on develop- ing and executing marketing strategies. Christian shares his knowledge of vid- eography/video editing and social media for brand development, education, and business growth. Most recently, Mc- Ghee teamed up with another former St. Louis Kappa Leaguer, Caleb Blue, to compose a music score for The King and the Pawn, an animated short that was recently highlighted at the St. Louis Filmmakers Showcase. As Christian’s Guide Right Direc- tor, for two of his three years in Kappa

League, I would often thank his parents, Dr. K. Llewellyn McGhee (Alpha Eta 1987) and Rev. Michelle M. McGhee, for sharing Christian with us. He would grace us with his talent at the Annual Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser and Black History celebrations. During his senior year in high school he served as First Vice President of Kappa League and represented St. Louis in the Student of the Year Program in Orlando with an original composition. I would be remised if I did not mention that he also maintained a 3.5 GPA while managing his extracurricular activities. Christian was an awesome youngster to mentor. Great attitude! Courteous! Kind! He recently shared, “My ultimate goal is to bridge the gap between the younger and older audiences and make music that is relevant to multiple groups of people. I believe I can help do this through education/outreach and engag- ing with the different audiences through social media platforms.” It is no surprise that he is a phenomenal young man.

enal young man from St. Louis, Missouri. In addition to being a former St Louis

(MO) Alumni Chapter Kappa Leaguer, Christian is an entrepreneur, educator, composer, and multi-instrumentalist. He plays drums, piano, keyboards, and has studied classical hand percussion. This young prodigy has been playing drums since age two and by age five he was regularly performing at the Village Church in St. Louis. Though he is only 21, his resume reads like an edition of Who’s Who . Christian has performed with Terell Stafford, Stefon Harris, and Antonio Hart. Other noteworthy perfor- mances include opening acts for Stanley Clarke, Jon Batiste and Stay Human, and Diane Reeves. Fall 2020, he will be returning to Manhattan School of Music for completion of his senior year where
