SMART SUMMER HABITS IN FLORIDA
Stay Hydrated Drink water regularly, especially when outdoors or working in the sun. Encourage kids to drink fluids often, too. Use Sunscreen Every Day Apply SPF 30 or higher before going outside—and don’t forget to reapply every 2 hours. Avoid Peak Sun Hours Try to limit extended sun exposure between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., when UV rays are strongest. Know the Signs of Heat Illness Watch for dizziness, nausea, fatigue, or heavy sweating. Take breaks in the shade or indoors as needed. Keep an Eye on the Weather Florida's summer storms roll in fast. Stay informed with weather alerts and seek shelter when needed. Be Hurricane-Ready June through November is hurricane season. Have a family emergency plan and keep supplies ready. Drive Safely in the Rain Florida roads get slick quickly. Slow down, turn on headlights, and never drive through standing water. Protect Against Mosquitoes Use repellent and wear long sleeves near water or at dusk to avoid bites and potential illnesses. Enjoy Nature—Safely Remind kids to keep a safe distance from wildlife like alligators, snakes, and jellyfish when near water or trails.
401(K) A 401(k) is an employer-sponsored retirement savings plan designed to help employees build financial security for the future. Named after a section of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code, the 401(k) is one of the most widely used retirement savings tools in the country, offering tax advantages, investment growth potential, and in many cases, employer contributions. At Frenchman’s Creek, we work with Lincoln Financial Group for our retirement plans. We offer a 4% employer match on your retirement contributions! That means for every dollar you contribute (up to 4% of your salary), the company contributes the same—helping you grow your future savings faster. If you would like to participate, you can access and manage your retirement account through: LincolnFinancial.com/Retirement
or call
800 - 234 - 3500
This week, employees had the opportunity to meet one-on-one with our Lincoln Financial Advisor to explore their 401(k) retirement plan in depth. The sessions covered key topics such as plan overviews, investment strategies, contribution limits, our 4% employer match, and retirement income planning. These meetings offered personalized guidance to help employees make informed decisions and maximize their retirement savings. If you missed out, don’t worry—we’ll be hosting this event two more times this year, so be on the lookout for future sign-up opportunities if you’re interested in attending.

LEADING WITH HOSPITALITY
In alignment with our vision to provide industry-leading hospitality, this new section offers practical tips and tricks to help elevate the member experience, improve service delivery, and empower every team member to embody excellence. Each issue, we’ll share quick insights, examples, or strategies that support our commitment to unmatched service.
Creating Moments That Matter At Frenchman’s Creek, great service often starts before a word is spoken. A warm smile, eye contact, and a friendly greeting can make all the difference. When a Member is Nearby: Make eye contact and smile to show they’re seen and welcomed. As They Come Closer: Offer a sincere greeting like “Good afternoon” or “Let us know if you need anything.” These simple actions create a lasting impression—and help us deliver the exceptional experience our Members expect. Why It Matters to Our Culture These small, consistent actions directly support the Frenchman’s Creek Standards and the experience we promise our Members: #1 Service Excellence – A warm welcome is the foundation of excellent service. This habit helps us anticipate and exceed expectations right from the start. #2 Professionalism – Offering friendly acknowledgment—even during busy moments—reflects pride, polish, and presence. #3 Communication – Eye contact and greetings are key forms of nonverbal and verbal communication. They show Members that we’re engaged and available. #4 Teamwork & Empowerment – When every team member participates in these small gestures, we create a unified atmosphere of respect and attentiveness. #5 Be an Ambassador – Being an ambassador means creating memorable, personal connections. One smile or greeting can shift someone’s entire day. #6 Pride in the Workplace – Every interaction is a reflection of our community and standards. Owning that moment, no matter your role, strengthens the environment we all share.
