GENERAL STUDIO RULES
NATIONAL AWARD WINNING DANCE TEAM Movement Dance Team & Pre-Team dancers train at an accelerated level, with a strict guideline of classes that must be fulfilled in all subjects areas of dance. Students are continuously pushed to progress, and are frequently evaluated. Team dancers are invited annually, and must audition annually in order to reserve a place on our competition team. Among the required hours of dance and rehearsals that must be met, each team member is required to perform at benefits, competitions, workshops, master classes and conventions. The Movement dance team has performed all over the East Coast in numerous competitions, benefit shows and charity events. The dance team has been featured in Dance Spirit Magazine, Four Weddings & Dance Moms Season 5, 7 & 8. The Movement Dance Academy is distinguished for being platinum level dancers, but moreover notable for the professional showmanship. Graduates from the program have continued studies in college as dance majors and many have enjoyed continued success in the professional world of dance, including Broadway, Disney, Paramount Productions, MTV, Joffrey Ballet, National Touring Companies, dancing in concert tours for top name artist, appearances at theme parks, cruise ships and competing on (D1) College/University Dance Teams. • All dancers must be in appropriate dance attire. (PLEASE SEE DRESS CODE POLICY)
• No cell phones, gum, food or drinks allowed in the dance studios.
• No jewelry such as necklaces, bracelets, anklets and absolutely no hoop earrings should be worn at anytime.
• Please be careful when dropping off your child. Instruct him or her not to dash across the parking lot.
• Children are expected to behave appropriately in the studio at all times. If student has or becomes a disciplinary problem they may be removed from the class.
• Students should arrive no earlier than 15 min prior to class and be picked up no later then 15 min after class ends.
• Only students are permitted in the dance rooms.
• Absolutely no street shoes on the dance floors.
