She is also passionate about giving back to the community, particularly in supporting the special needs community through various volunteer events. One of her favorite initiatives is Prom Night, sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation, where she finds joy in making a positive impact on the lives of others.
Nicole Newberry – Permian Resources – Senior Division Order Analyst - Nicole Newberry of Permian Resources in Midland, Texas is a Senior Division Order Analyst with more than 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. For more than a decade she was employed in various accounting roles including accounts receivable, accounts
payable, and JIB accounting. She transitioned to land in 2018 as a Junior Division Order Analyst and advanced to Senior DO analyst in 2020 . She earned her BA in Business Finance from Lubbock Christian University in 2006 and earned her MBA from the University of Texas Permian Basin in 2020. Her accounting background gives her a well-rounded understanding of the intricacies and effects of deck corrections and PPA’s on an owner and company level. She likes to spend her free time travelling, playing with her bulldogs, and devoting time to her family.

Jeff was the COPAS National Audit Committee Chair during the period of 2009-2011 and again during the period 2019-2020. He currently serves as Co-Chair of the COPAS National Education Committee and was the COPAS National President in 2016. In addition to contract compliance work, Jeff is often called upon to provide expert witness testimony in oil and gas litigation matters and provides Joint Venture Accounting best practices and guidance to clients. Her experience as a Land Tech helped her significantly in Division Orders as far as understanding title, spotting wells and general land knowledge. In January 2024, she started at Diversified Energy as a Senior Division Order Analyst. She has served on the board of CAPDOA for many years and currently holds the title of NADOA Director. She has served on the NADOA Board for 3 years and is serving on the Institute Committee as well. When not at work she spends time with her family and friends.
