The Benefit Buzz – A Recap of Open Enrollment by Amanda Hering, Benefits Manager The Crest Foods Benefits team had a very successful open enrollment season. A big thank you to all Crest Foods team members for taking the time to meet with Anne, Savannah, and I to review your benefit coverage for the 2023 plan year and answer any questions you had. Open Enrollment is my most favorite time year, this season was extra special to me as it gave me the opportunity to introduce myself, meet our members, and experience the Crest cul- ture! The team was very excited to share that health insurance premiums are staying the same for the 2023 plan year! It’s no secret that the increase with inflation and rising health care cost has impacted the way we live today. Being able to maintain a no change in Crest Foods health premiums for consecutive years in a row is truly rewarding! Our cov- ered members and their family continue to utilize low cost high quality options for their health care needs. By mak- ing these strategic care decisions it keeps medical debt and expenses low. Have you activated your HealthJoy account? The Crest Benefits team reviewed and shared reminders with those members who haven’t activated their HealthJoy account during the open enrollment season. HealthJoy was intro- duced to the Crest Foods benefits program in 2022. If you haven’t had a chance to check out HealthJoy or haven’t activated your account, I encourage you to take a few minutes and do so. You can use HealthJoy anytime, anywhere through the app on your smart phone. HealthJoy services are completely free and personalized to you! HealthJoy gives you access to your benefits wallet, allows you to connect with a doctor from the comfort of your own home, ask questions about the health plan, and so much more! If you need assistance with activating or accessing your HealthJoy account, please contact HealthJoy Customer Care at: 877-500-3212 or a member of the Crest Foods Benefits Department. Be on the lookout for HealthJoy FUN during 2023 – the benefits team has very exciting activities, games, and prize opportunities planned for our members! A few reminders as we kick of the 2023 plan year! Deductibles and out-of-pocket maximums for both the Crest Foods Health and Dental plan reset every January 1st. To ensure that you receive important benefit information like ID cards, plan notices, and explanation of benefits, please keep the benefits department updated with your per- sonal information. As always, if you have any questions or need any assistance with your Crest Benefits, stop by or contact Amanda or Savannah in the Crest Foods Benefits Department for assistance. Welcome Nurse Siwen!

We’re happy to welcome our new on-site nurse, Nurse Siwen, to the Crest family! Siwen’s nursing career started about 11 years ago at Sauk Valley Community College where she received her Associates degree and she later received her Bachelor’s degree through Benedictine University while working at another hospital. In her free time she enjoys cooking, gardening (when weather permits), and traveling when she’s not at work. Siwen and her husband live outside of Dixon, surrounded by a bunch of woods. She mentioned that it was quite the culture shock coming to this small area after being raised in a big city in China! She said that she couldn’t believe how quiet the streets are at 8:30 at night because that’s when evenings are just getting started in her home town. Siwen is looking forward to getting to know everyone here at Crest and is open for any questions you may have and we’re excited to have her on board!
