Tessa Tracy The Chain Collaboration
UWSP Graduate Student for Community & Organizational Leadership, which builds leadership skills that allow graduates to become agents of positive social change in local and international communities. Prior to joining our master’s program, Tessa had successfully helped establish Biblioteca Girasol, a community resource center in Matapalo. Her work continues to expand and exemplifies effective collaborative leadership in community development: • Ask residents to define what wellbeing in their community looks like • Let them decide how they want to achieve that vision • Any external investments must leverage existing assets to build community capacity to achieve and sustain the vision
