II. Other Family Information A. Ann’s Aunts and Uncles, her Mother Martha’s siblings

Woodson Daniel, Martha’s brother, compiled a genealogy that listed his parents, himself and all of his siblings. After a cousin asked about it, one of his daughters searched for and found it. “Tell Cousin Sarah that after untiring perseverance I have succeeded in finding an old musty record of the births & deaths of Chisley [Chesley] Daniel & Judith Daniel together with those of their descendants: except the deaths of some few of their children which will be found blank. I will copy the old record.” 32 And she did. The inquiring cousin married into a family who preserved the copied genealogy and donated it with many other family papers to the manuscript library of the University of Georgia. 33 The following is based on Woodson Daniel’s genealogy supplemented by research at Tranquility Plantation of Granville County, NC – PA Miller . Jane and Judith were born in Lunenburg County, Virginia. All others were born in Granville County, North Carolina. Jane Daniel and Judith Daniel, twins, were born 12 November 1760. Jane was the only daughter Chesley named in his will. He wanted her to live “decently and comfortably during her life time.” He mentioned Jane’s name four times, an indication she perhaps was disabled. Jane never married. She died 11 October 1814, just 10 days after her father, at Springfield, Granville County. 34 September 2018); citing NARA microfilm publication M653, roll 1212.
