1889. 30 William was born in Ohio, 31 lived in Indiana County, Pennsylvania, and attended I NDIANA N ORMAL S CHOOL . 32 He worked for a family business, The E.M. Link Machinery Co., in Erie, Pennsylvania. The Link firm manufactured heating and ventilating equipment and sawmill machinery and was a dealer in boilers and engines. 33 William represented the Link firm from a base in Talladega, Alabama, where he also invented and patented fire extinguishing equipment. 34 Later, when William was vice president of the firm, Annie, William and their children lived in Erie. 35 Still later, Annie and William lived in Okanogan, Washington, where William died and was buried. 36 Annie survived him by many years. She died 17 March 1946 in California and was buried in Okanogan. 37 Charlotte M. Calhoun was born about 1868 and died 8 October 1946 in Atlanta, Georgia.
