Professional Development for Facilitators Our initiative will empower individuals to use our media as a foundation to facilitate conversations. We will offer professional development opportunities for individuals leading community conversations, ensuring they are well equipped to facilitate meaningful and effective discussions. Since the fall of 2024, we have been busy connecting with our first round of partners to make sure that our programming is a strong fit for the communities they serve and that our content matches their needs. During the winter and spring of 2025, TPT will collaborate with our partners to facilitate sessions hosted at their community sites. These sessions will consist of screenings from the different TPT and PBS shows, and facilitated conversations with participants, including producers and staff who helped create the programs.
We will end our program year with an event at TPT’s Lowertown studios during the summer of 2025. The event will be a celebration of all the learnings from the sessions. Although participation in this year’s Viewers Like Us Clubs is limited to our pilot program community members, it is our goal to learn from this initial year and expand our offerings in the future.
