DESIGNING A BRAND UNIVERSE for the WORLD’S MOST EXCLUSIVE PRIVATE ISLAND For Ithaafushi, the Maldives’ most exclusive private island under Waldorf Astoria, we conceived the name, brand strategy, and full identity to reflect a sanctuary of rare beauty and serene indulgence. Drawing from the Dhivehi word for “Pearl Island,” the name set a poetic foundation for a brand rooted in quiet confidence and discovery. We defined its essence as a “living pearl,” expressing timeless artistry across every brand touchpoint. Typography was designed to flow like ocean waves, and the color palette captured the soft radiance of sea, sand, and sky. From verbal identity to digital design, each detail was crafted to guide guests through an immersive world of privacy, elegance, and natural wonder. The result is a brand experience that feels both elevated and intimate, offering a seamless invitation into a world where every element whispers luxury in its most graceful form.
