MENTORING AND PEER-COACHING EXPECTATIONS At The Lakes, mentoring and peer coaching are integral to how we learn, grow, and lead together. Every teacher — whether early career or experienced — benefits from reflective dialogue, observation, and shared practice. Mentoring supports professional confidence and clarity; peer coaching deepens collective efficacy by focusing on the craft of teaching. Both are built on trust, respect, and professional curiosity , not evaluation. Staff are encouraged to engage in ongoing cycles of feedback, reflection, and goal setting aligned to the VTLM 2.0 and our College Strategic Plan .
