SSG ATTENDANCE EXPECTATIONS & REPORTING SSGs are formal meetings that strengthen the partnership between home and school. They ensure shared understanding and consistent support for each student. Expectations for SSGs: • SSGs are held once per term (minimum) for every DI funded student, and for others where leadership deems it appropriate. • Teachers must: • Attend all scheduled SSG meetings punctually and prepared. • Bring student work samples, progress data, and evidence against IEP goals. • Contribute professionally and collaboratively — the tone is supportive, not defensive. • Record outcomes and agreed actions on Compass or in the SSG proforma immediately after the meeting. • Follow-up actions (e.g., adjustments, referrals, or communication) should be implemented promptly and recorded. • If unable to attend, notify your leader and provide written input in advance — absence does not remove responsibility. • THE LAKES STANDARD Inclusion is a collective commitment. We plan, teach, and collaborate with purpose so that every learner — regardless of background or ability — experiences success, progress, and belonging. “ Differentiation shows we care. IEPs prove we know our students. SSGs remind families that we’re in it together.”
AT THE LAKES THIS LOOKS LIKE:
Every student engaged, challenged, and known.
Classrooms that hum with structure and curiosity — where expectations are visible, feedback is frequent, and learning is intentional.
Teachers collaborate, reflect, and refine.
Students see their growth and know they are capable of more.
