POSITIVE BEHAVIOUR SUPPORT At The Lakes, we focus on teaching and reinforcing positive behaviour , not just responding to misbehaviour. Our approach is proactive, consistent, and grounded in the belief that all students can learn the social and emotional skills they need to succeed. We explicitly teach expected behaviours, acknowledge positive choices, and use data to identify patterns and supports.
Our goal is to build a calm, predictable environment where every student feels safe, capable, and valued.
Positive Behaviour Support at The Lakes includes: • Clear, consistent expectations across all settings • Positive reinforcement and acknowledgement systems • Restorative conversations to rebuild relationships • Targeted interventions for students who need additional support
