but the Antichrist will grow stronger until Christ comes and overthrows him after his satanic and notorious career over the earth. The Christ and Antichrist Contrasted 1. Christ the Lord is from above, and Antichrist is from beneath out of the pit (John 3:31; Rev. 11:7). 2. Christ came approved and sealed by the Father, while the Antichrist will come in his own name (John 5:43; Dan. 11:37). 3. Christ humbled Himself and took the role of a servant, while the Antichrist will exalt himself above all (Phil. 2:8; 2 Thess. 2 :4 ). 4. Christ was despised and unap preciated, while Antichrist will set himself up as the object of universal adoration (Isa. 53:3; Luke 23:18; Rev. 13). 5. Christ came to do God’s will in perfect obedience, while Antichrist will come to do his own selfish will, wicked way and blasphemous practice (John 6:38; 17:4; Dan. 11:36, 37). 6. Christ wrought miracles, won ders and signs for God, while Satan through the Antichrist will also per form mighty acts with power, signs, wonders and deception (Acts 2:22; 2 Thess. 2:9, 10; Rev. 13:13, 14). 7. Christ is called the Good Shep herd who gave His life for the sheep, but the Antichrist, who is the hireling, false, evil and idol shepherd, will scat ter and destroy the sheep and deceive them (John 10:10-14; Zech. 11:16, 17) . 8. Jesus was called the Wonderful Counsellor, The Mighty God, The Prince of Peace, but the Antichrist will be king of Babylon (confusion) and the wonder of the world and will de ceive the unregenerate of the world into worshipping him (Rev. 13 and 18) . 9. The Bible declares that God will highly exalt His Son Christ, and that every knee shall bow to Him and every tongue will confess His Lordship, but Satan will exalt the Antichrist and force people on earth to pay homage (Phil. 2:9-11; Isa. 14:14; Rev. 13:8). 10. Christ’s followers will have His Father’s name written in their fore heads as a badge of honor, while Satan’s Antichrist worshippers will wear the mark of the Beast allegiance for their only civil privileges (Rev. 14:9-11; 13:16-18). 11. The Bible declares the love of the triune God, the Father, Christ the Son, and Holy Spirit, the Comforter, for both saints and sinners, while the evil Trio of Satan, Antichrist, and the (Continued on page 659)
God (Isa. 14:13; Dan. 11:36, 37; 2 Thess. 2 :4 ). The Bible makes it clear that the spirit of Antichrist denies Christ in the flesh (1 John 4 :3 ). Judaism denies Christ has come in the flesh, while Rome admits Him but aims to adore Jesus, angels and saints in an imposing religious ceremony. The Antichrist will counterfeit Jesus Christ and op pose and overthrow all religion. Rome claims to believe that Christ will come again to Judge the world, but the Anti christ’s blasphemous denial of this precious doctrine was foretold by John in the seventh verse of his second epistle. The Bible always makes plain any truth desired. The division of governments is yet to take place, and the Antichrist will arise after the ten kings (Rev. 13). Rome’s secular power of the papacy has weakened,
death and an agreement with hell” -(Isa. 28:18). 10. “ The Beast” (Rev. 13; 17:8-11). “ Beast,” “ eighth head,” “ counterfeit resurrection,” “ life after death,” signi fies in his assumed proof of Messiah- ship that the' link of evidence to his mysterious claims is proven beyond a doubt to the self deceived people who give him both their obedience and wor ship. Further Bible Facte About His Personality We have seen conclusively1that the Antichrist is a person, and not a sys tem of error like the papacy, as many have hitherto believed concerning him. The papacy has only claimed to be God’s vicegerent on the earth, while Antichrist will exalt himself and mag nify himself above'every God, and sit in the temple and show himself as
