Jesus Christ.”— 1 Cor. 15:56, 57; Rom. 7:25. 7. . For everything: “ In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” — 1 Thess. 5:18. "Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God.”— Phil. 4:6; Eph. 5:20. — Selected. TEN HEALTH COMMANDMENTS Dr. Thomas Darlington, former com missioner of health of New York City, is responsible for the following ten commandments of health: 1. Keep your mouth closed when breathing; also when angry. 2. Drink cool water with your meals; also between meals. 3. Bathe daily; a shower if pos sible. 4. Eat slowly; this leads to eating sparingly. Make your meal a cere monial pleasure. 5. Exercise daily and breathe deep ly while so doing, but avoid overexer tion and never eat when fatigued. 6. Never read or transact any business while eating. 7. Work ten hours, sleep eight, and use the balance tor recreation and meals. Always rest on Sunday. 8. Ever keep a contented mind. Equanimity means longevity. 9. Neglect no portion of the body. Employ a physician to examine you at regular intervals and so watch for the beginnings of disease and build up resistance and pay some attention to his opinion and direction. 10. Moderation in all things. A bus line running through a park and down a boulevard has the follow ing advice posted on the platform of each bus: “ Be healthy, eat wisely and ride on top of the bus.” The above commandments of health are wise, weighty and are worthy of observation. There are four things which are essential to spiritual health, namely, good food, fresh air, frequent ablutions and moderate exercise. The Good Food of the spiritual milk will cause us to grow thereby (1 Peter 2!2 3). Thé Fresh Air of a life of prayer in the atmosphere of the grace and glow of the Holy Spirit will cause the lungs to breathe in unison with God’s will (Eph. 6 :18 ). The Frequent Ablutions in the cleansing stream of God’s Word will keep the mind wealthy and healthy (Psa. 119:9; Eph. 5:26). The Holy Exercise of a zeal of holy endeavor in God’s work will always minister joy and blessing (Eph. 8:6, 7; 1 Cor. 15:58). —dT. E. M.
