A Fashion Stylist’s take on timeless interior design
HW16006P Bronzo Herringbone
Fashion Stylist and creative force Tash Sefton and her husband Adam Genovese, recently completed a considered renovation of her 110-year-old Kirribilli apartment, transforming it into a refined yet relaxed sanctuary that blends contemporary elegance with the charm of its heritage bones. Embracing the existing character details, graceful Art Deco windows, intricate ceiling mouldings, and soaring 12-foot ceilings, alongside modern touches, the renovation showcases the eye for detail and design that Tash is renowned for. Central to the transformation was the replacement of the dated cream carpet. In its place, Tash and Adam, selected one of Havwoods timeless European oak parquetry floors - Bronzo from the Italian Collection. The classic herringbone pattern echoes the aesthetic of Parisian apartments that this home was reminiscent of. With the natural variation and warm tonality throughout, the timber flooring delivers a heightened sense of cohesion and luxury, creating a seamless visual flow from room to room and complementing both vintage accents and contemporary furnishings. This stunning renovation celebrates longevity, not only in the building itself, but in the enduring appeal of well-chosen and architecturally sensitive finishes.
