Speakeasy charm at Bar Urbane
HW6246 Bellmore Herringbone
Imagine stepping into a hidden bar from the 1920s, a place where whispers fill the air and jazz melodies drift softly through dimly lit corners. This was the enchanting vision for Bar Urbane, a sophisticated sanctuary in Launceston. Drawing inspiration from the secret speakeasies of the Prohibition Era in America, Prime Design, led by Tahleah Hoyle, set out to create an exclusive haven that exudes the same mysterious charm and elegant allure. The aim was to evoke feelings of elegance, quiet, and exclusivity. Dimmed lighting, acoustic panelling, and soft furnishings contribute to a serene ambiance, while bold colours engage the senses, making patrons feel like they are indulging in a truly extraordinary experience. The colour scheme, featuring green, orange, and yellow tones of brass, paired with monochromatic tones in tiles, joinery, and bar furniture, allows the bold hues to shine. The layering of luxe elements epitomizes the project's ethos that "too much" was never a consideration.
The choice of Bellmore Herringbone from the Luxe Collection was pivotal in achieving the desired luxurious and elegant atmosphere. The stable product, with its beautiful finish and depth of colour, perfectly aligned with the client's brief. The herringbone pattern added a sophisticated touch, enhancing the overall aesthetic. The flooring had to meet specific technical and design requirements due to the bar's classification as a class 6 building. Compliance with NCC requirements for slip rating and radiant flux was essential, an additional floor sealant was selected to provide further protection in the commercial environment. Bar Urbane is the epitome of sophisticated design, where every element, from the moody tones to the luxe details, creates an atmosphere of unparalleled elegance and exclusivity.
