Mr. Wolgemuth has made eight missionary tours around the wor ld , directing the youth programs of YFCI in 49 na­ tions. He succeeds Carl J. Bihl as pres­ ident of the international group. Suc­ ceeding Mr. Wolgemuth in his post of Vice-President for Overseas Min­ istry is Rev. Wendell G. Collins, for­ merly Executive Vice-President of YFCI. Dr. J. Allan Fleece, president of Co- .lumbia Bible College, will be among those bringing Bible messages at the 75th annual Bible and Missionary Conference of The Evangelical Alli­ ance Mission. The Conference will be held at the Evangelical Free Church in Wheaton, Illinois, May 11-16, 1965. All meetings are open to the public. Hugh R. Murchison, stockbroker and investment banker, r e c e n t l y was elected president of the Union Res­ cue Mission for the 24th consecutive year. The Union Rescue Mission, located in I os Angeles, is the largest “ Skid Row” rehabilitation center in America. Mr. C. W. The American Bible Society h a s adopted a plan of urging churches during 1966 to make it the “ Year of the Bible.” The program calls for intensive, ministry in the publication of the Word of God. The year will also mark the 150th anniversary of ABS, with a record budget projected for nearly six and a half million dollars. Dr. Paul E. Freed, president of Trans World Radio, has reported that more than 6,000 letters were received from listeners during the first two months of operating their powerful station on the island of Bonaire, Netherlands Antilles.
