AFTERWORD By taking countless chances Norman knew he could learn from all his mistakes and achieve great things for humankind. That is to say, he combined his inborn idealism with his willingness to take chances to save countless lives worldwide. Throughout his career, he relied on his native enterprise to take on jobs others wouldn’t touch – such as collecting over 100,000 seeds by hand. This is a quality you share with him and can develop. He was certainly someone who did not shy away from new endeavors. This versatil- ity combined with his perfectionism – always striving to do better – pushed him to create wheat that fed people on many continents. Perhaps one of his strongest traits was his adaptability and his willingness to try new options. Look through the story again and count how often he used this trait. Clearly, he was determined to make things happen.
