AFTERWORD From the time she first learned to read, knowledge was important to Sor Juana. Equally important was her curiosity and willingness to always ask questions about things she didn’t understand. What examples of curiosity can you find in her story? This is a trait you have and can develop every day. Her outgoingnes s and ability to make friends easily meant she could use her curiosity with many people. The more she learned, the more she accomplished, and the more confidence she grew. This is the inborn versatility found in everyone. She was determined to make good things happen to strengthen her knowledge. This shows her dynamic energy at work, another trait you share with her. Without fearing their disapproval, Sor Juana debated the scholars of Mexico City and maintained her individualism . At the same time, she didn’t worry about what they thought of her and kept her natural courage and honesty to stay true to herself.
