We need to provide the right resources to the relevant spaces. Underprivileged schools need support from foundation phase. The focus is always on secondary and higher education. This needs to change as our literacy rate is alarming so that’s where we need to play our part, by applying focus on the formative years,” said Maduna. She said the corporate world had given her the opportunity to shift the needle. Maduna’s story serves as a powerful reminder of the transformative power of education and mentorship. Her achievements as Miss South Africa runner- up, Miss Earth SA runner-up and Miss Earth South Africa 2021 exemplify how leadership, combined with purpose and dedication, can create a lasting legacy.
