Schilling Cattle - 10th Annual Production Sale [3/25/26]

GREETINGS

Welcome to our 10th Annual Production Sale. Even though this is our tenth production sale, Marsha and I started our involvement in purebred cattle production way back in 1974 when we were just teenagers as a 4-H project. We both had our own separate projects. But I truly believe that the reason we got together was because of our love for high quality cattle and I thought she was the prettiest girl I had ever seen, and still do 56 years later! We started out with Limousin cattle and still have some of those great cattle in our herd, but our main focus the past 15 years has been developing a great set of Angus cows. Angus that can do us good, that look good and are packed full of performance-backed by data. We are proud of this set of cattle, we believe we have kept them very functional and durable, and can handle the short grass region of western Kansas. We focused on calving ease, combined with growth and maternal traits. We have been collecting ultrasound data the past 15 years and feel good about how far we have come in terms of marbling and carcass scores. I know this sounds like we are trying to do it all, and yes I guess we are always striving to produce the perfect beast. With the strides made with data collection for EPDs and with our standards for phenotypically sound, functional, maternally-driven cattle that can go CAB, I will always strive to produce that great one until the day I go meet my lord and savior Jesus Christ. We encourage you to attend our sale on Wednesday, March 25 at 1 pm CST. We will fill you up with a wonderful hearty meal and delicious pies served by the Goodland FFA Chapter. If you aren’t able to attend, you can view the sale on DV Auctions or bid on the phone with any of the sale staff or our family. You are welcome to view the offering at any time before the sale north of Brewster, Kansas at the sale location. I would also like to take some time and tell you how blessed Marsha and I are to have Cash, Amanda, Kaelyn and Chasyn directly involved in the day-to-day operating of this farm and ranch. I also want to recognize Chance on his wonderful ideas that are an asset to us as well. We would sure love to visit with you anytime about the cattle or any other topic you so desire! As always, we will take care of your purchase until you need them, free of charge and also provide free delivery within 500 miles. Marsha loves to haul bulls to our wonderful customers and view all the scenery across our wonderful country. We hope to see you at the sale on down the road! o c i in
