A New Youth Center in Deep Well F rom the Bible Institute of Los Angeles’ Hong Kong department came reports this month that

thé building of a new youth center was underway with construction expected to be completed this Christmas. Site for the building is Deep Well, a village 11 miles from Hong Kong. In this area there are about 5,000 people with no roots other than a job in one of the two local factories. Land for the center was donated by a local Chinese businessman while the raising of funds to build the school was B iola ’ s 1953-54 stu­ dent missionary union project. The regular program will consist of a primary school and an evening school for the young factory work­ ers in the area. There will also be weekend gatherings and youth conferences. Part of the building may be used as a day nursery for tiny tots.

For almost a half century B iola operated a Bible institute in Chang­ sha, China; now forced out of China proper the work goes on in Hong Kong. Dr. Charles Roberts is superintendent of the Hong Kong Dr. Charles Roberts greets S. T.
