ANNÉE RECORD POUR LE TOURNOI DE CURLING MICHEL MALBOEUF
The Embrun community gathered in large numbers on November 9 to support the 12 th edition of the Snowsuit campaign. In partnership with the Maison de la famille d’Embrun, the Knights of Columbus of Embrun welcomed more than a hundred residents to their monthly dinner of baked beans and meat macaroni last Friday at the 5 Forget Hall. This event raised funds for the Embrun Family House Snowsuit Campaign, sponsored by the Prescott and Russell Child, Family and Community Action Group. For the occasion, the Embrun Knights of Columbus presented a $1,000 donation to the Maison de la Famille d’Embrun. —photo Caroline Prévost
La 21 e édition du tournoi Michel Malboeuf, qui a eu lieu le weekend dernier au Club de Curling de Russell, a permis d’amasser une somme record pour deux organismes communautaires de la région. Cette année, les 64 participants de ce tournoi de curling, en plus d’une trentaine d’amis et de membres de la famille des participants, ont amassé la somme de 3116 $. Cette somme a été remise à parts égales à deux organismes de la région choisis par les membres de la famille Malboeuf. La Maison de la Famille d’Embrun s’est donc vu remettre un don de 1158 $ de la part du Club de curling de Russell. On reconnait, ci-dessus, les organisateurs du tournoi. Ci-dessus, le Club Optimiste d’Embrun a remis un don de 1500 $ à la Maison de la Famille d’Embrun pour sa champagne d’Habits de neige. Le Club Richelieu d’Embrun et le groupe Centraide ont aussi remis un don, de 500 $ et de 1500 $ respectivement. —photo Caroline Prévost
