Last week we had a great success in the Year 10/11 Richmond Borough Netball Tournament , coming first by winning all their pool games bar one, making it to the semi-finals where they played St Richard Reynolds. The semi final game ended 8-5 to Waldegrave, meaning they were to play Christs in the final. Waldegrave fought so hard to keep their lead through- out the final, with the game finishing with just 1 goal in it. Waldegrave won 8-7, winning the whole tournament!
On the same day, the Year 10’s also took part in the Year 10 Richmond Borough Netball Tournament. They worked very hard in their pool games , beating Richmond Upon Thames School but unfortunately losing to the other teams. Our Year 9 Netball Team also had a match last week where after being behind for the first three quartes of the game, they valiantly fought back to achieve a draw. We had our first football fixtures of the academic year with our Year 7s and 8s playing away against Turing and Twickenham Schools. They played fantastically, winning both matches by creating changes, while preventing any opportunities for the other teams to score. All our players should be proud of their efforts and teamwork.
