OA CRICKET The OAs began their season in May with the annual fixture against the Honourable Artillery Company at their picturesque ground nestled within the skyscrapers of the City of London. The OAs batted first on a good pitch and posted a competitive total with Alec Kenningham (13-20) top scoring with a patient and well-crafted 72. With the pitch showing signs of spin throughout, Tom Thornton (10-15) and Tom Eadon (01-09) were the pick of the OA bowlers, ensuring victory with figures of 7.2 overs, 3 for 19 and 5 overs, 5 for 24 respectively. Unfortunately, this form did not carry into the first round of the Cricketer Cup where the OAs hosted Harrow Wanderers at Dulwich. Dulwich is always a good batting wicket and add to that a scorching Sunday in June, a Harrow XI containing an international cricketer and a rather depleted OA bowling attack and Harrow's 418-6 after 50 overs becomes more understandable (I hope...). The OAs, to their credit, responded in spirited fashion, posting a respectable 277-6 in their 50 overs, albeit in a losing cause. Despite the disappointment of another early exit from the Cricketer Cup, the OAs are grateful to the OA Association and the College for hosting the teams in such generous fashion and look forward to the 2023 Cricketer Cup campaign which sees the OAs take on Eton Ramblers in the first round at Eton on Sunday 11 June. The final fixture of the season saw the OAs take on the College XI in a T20 at Dulwich. This fixture tied in with the annual OA reunion evening and made for a great occasion for all involved. Batting first, 50 from Jake Scarisbrick (07-18) helped the OAs to a slightly above average 150 from their 20 overs. Jaimin Sadiwala (02-13) and Tom Eadon then led the OA bowling attack to ensure a narrow victory over the XI and to take the OAs to a respectable 2 wins from 3 fixtures in the 2022 season. Alex Rackow (10-15)

OA BADMINTON Last September, 10 OAs returned to the College for what has become a fiercely contested annual match against the College. The two sides met in a round robin tournament and, while the OAs were the eventual winners overall, it was exciting to see the College’s top pairing of Felix Wright and Marcus Ip remained undefeated. If you would like to play this year, please contact Chris Ottewill (ottewillcj@dulwich.org.uk) who will be delighted to hear from you.
