PROBLEM SOLVING
1.4.3 WHAT IF...?
What do we mean by "What if ...?” "What if ...?” is a method that enables participants to look at a problem from various dif- ferent angles. Sometimes, you may find yourself facing a problem and not seem to have a way out or a solution. Here, you may find it helpful to ask yourself questions such as: “What if things were different?”. This question, “What if ...?”, is used when a group of people is brainstorming; it helps them look at the problem from different perspectives to find the right solution. For example: “What if we use this method?”, “What if things are reversed?” or “What if we seek the help of someone else?”.
1.4.4 MIND MAPS What is the method of "Mind Maps”?
This method takes into consideration that the mind works by connecting basic concepts to one another, but not necessarily in a linear or symmetrical way. We can explore our thinking about something by drawing a map that shows how our ideas are connected.
