• Bias and Preference Understanding, recognizing, controlling and overcoming conscious and unconscious bias en- hances a leader’s decision making process. Effective leaders recognize and control their bias. • Opinions and Support There are two methodologies for making decisions: making decisions on your own, or consult- ing experts and trusted people before making the decision. Both methodologies are widely used by various leaders. Some leaders might be using both methodologies, but in different sit- uations.
