I would highly recommend the AICC Packaging School to anyone coming into the corrugated industry.” Eric began his education with Corrugated Basics 101, 102 and 103, followed by all the other courses that would eventually earn him a diploma from AICC’s Packaging Uni- versity. He experienced his “hands-on” education when he traveled to France to train on Gazella machinery. He returned to OxBox and worked with the techs on machine installs, then trained the operator who was promoted to supervisor. “It’s fun watching the business take shape and con- tinue to grow, especially with Eric now fully invested as our Production Manager,” says Ockerlund. “He’s already proven he can recondition an entire machine from a set of photographs, and he could probably set up and run any of the machines on our shop floor, including our brand new Makina.” Future Investments After the five years of investments in machinery and personnel and emerging from the Covid era stronger than ever, can OxBox possibly need more machinery? Guy Ock- erlund says if anything, it’s probably a die cutter. “We got rid of our old die cutter to make room for our CAD table
